Here's to You, Here's to Me!

Here's to you, dear reader! Here's to me! In keeping with the unseasonably warm weather in New York, I'm sending you an unseasonably warm weather greeting. Looking back over a year of blogging, I'd have to say it was a challenging time in that there were so many technological glitches that we had to deal with. Even this week, the site went down for an hour, but now, fingers crossed, I'm hoping for smooth sailing in 2016. How about you?

Year's end finds me counting my blessings, including the upcoming publication of Veronica's Grave in May of next year. Essentially, the memoir is the diary of a young girl, following the mysterious disappearance of her mother. In the telling of the tale, it bears certain similarities to The Diary of Anne Frank and To Kill A Mockingbird.

On that score, the latest piece of good news is that Mary Higgins Clark, America's Queen of Suspense, having read the memoir, sent a lovely blurb. One sure to make the front cover. (You can read it in full, along with other advance praise, by clicking on the "Memoir" tab of this blog.)

And now I'm off to discover who makes the prettiest Bûche de Noël in town.

May your Christmas be merry and your New Year festive.

Joyeux Noël et bonne année! Your Francophile friend, Barbara
