Calling Audio-Book Fans: 25 Copies Available Free
After months in the works, this week finds us doing the final edits of the audio-book of Veronica’s Grave: A Daughter’s Memoir. Narrated by Leslie S. Miller, it will be released shortly on Amazon, iTunes and other nationwide outlets.
The creation process was vastly interesting and that it could be done so easily between a West Coast narrator and an East Cost author was an eye-opener. Listening last week to Leslie’s reading was a joy! I became so carried away, it was as if I was listening to somebody else's story. So, you might be wondering who is this enchantress?
Originally from Boston, Leslie fell in love with the theater at an early age and went on to earn a BA in Theater at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In time, she relocated to the West Coast, where she now enjoys appearing not only on stage, but in TV and film.
Her youthful voice that was perfect for the narration of Veronica's Grave, has enabled her to branch into the voice-over world of narrating audio-books, commercials and TV spots. Her latest project, Veronica's Grave, is due out in November.
And the cover for the Audible book has been designed to meet Audible requirements by my friend and computer genius Paul Baxter.
What's also of interest is that this week, the New York Times Book Review included a section on audio-books for the first time. This comes as more and more people are choosing audio-books as the most convenient way in which to 'read.' It's a reading revolution.
Wishing all of you a joyful Thanksgiving with family and friends. That's it for this week guys and gals! Hope to see you next week, when I'll have the coffee ready.
Merci fois mille....Barbara
P.S. Will you take a second to share this post to jhelp me get the word out about the free audio-book. It would mean a lot to me.
