Café au lait, s’il vous plait
I wake up in the morning and take my coffee to the window where I look at the flower beds and the buildings lining Park Avenue, at the joggers and the dog walkers, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the distance, and I tell myself: You’re going to miss this when you’re gone.
Ain’t it the truth? And something else I’ll miss is sharing my ‘enthusiasms’ with you. Pinched for time this week, what follows is a photographic essay taken one snowy day in New York.
It was hard to believe that such tempting baked goods are gluten free, but they are. A gluten free macaroon and a cafe au lait at Le Pain Quotidien? What a decadent way to spend an hour on a snowy day in New York City.
I should tell you in closing that a ‘fresh face’ is in the works for Desperately Seeking Paris, one due to launch soon and as elegant as Miss Dior. Perhaps as soon as the coming week. Should there be any technical difficulties, I may not make it back by next week. Fingers crossed…
In the meantime, remember: sharing is caring. Send this cup of coffee and love to a friend, won't you?
